A Community Development Manager works to improve community facilities and services. They usually focus on a specific area and lead a team to develop solutions to address the community’s needs.
As Community Development Manager you will identify the issues facing an area and work with other organisations to make improvements. This job role may also include providing solution based recommendations in the context of unemployment, housing, welfare, areas.
Community Education Manager
A Community Education Manager is responsible for creating learning opportunities to connect with members of the community with the purpose and work their organisation. This includes the development and facilitation of education strategies and programming that focuses on advancing community understanding of best practices and the organisations projects and initiatives.
This job role may also include the development of educational activities, and related learning materials for formal and/or informal learning opportunities. This could include such things as facility tours, special events, workshops, outreach activities and programming on specific topics.
Senior Communications Manager
A Senior Communications Manager in the context of community sector management works with local communities, consumers, carers, health professionals and community providers to understand the community and their needs.
As a Senior Communication Manager you will be primarily responsible for educating and engaging with the local community. You may also be responsible for developing budgets, policies, guidelines, and protocols to support operational the requirements of your organisation.

Prospective students are able to enrol into the CHC62015 Advanced Diploma of Community Sector Management course if they are 18 years or over and meet one of the following entry requirements:
Completed Year 12 or Equivalent or A DIPLOMA OR HIGHER OR SUFFICIENT WORK EXPERIENCE (CURRENTLY EMPLOYED WITH A COMMUNITY CARE SERVICE PROVIDER AND HOLD A SENIOR MANAGEMENT OR TEAM LEADER ROLE)
YOUR LANGUAGE LITERACY AND NUMERACY (LLN) SKILLS MUST MEET THE REQUIRED STANDARDS FOR ACSF LEVEL 4 OR HIGHER.
