1. Background
a. This Study Grant was first established in 2021 to assist students experiencing financial hardship due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
b. In 2022, ACCLM study grant has been extended to provide financial support to approved students as a contribution to towards their ACCLM course fees that can articulate their response to “How my chosen ACCLM course will enable me to fulfil my career goals”.
2. Eligibility
a. The applicant must be a domestic student commencing a course with ACCLM.
b. The applicant must be over 18 years old at the time of application for the Study Grant.
3. Selection Criteria
a. The Study Grant will be awarded on the basis of the best response to “How my chosen ACCLM course will enable me to fulfil my career goals”, in 100 words or less.
b. The Study Grant can only be awarded to new ACCLM students.
c. Successful recipients will be notified by phone and email.
4. Value
a. The Study Grant is valued at up to $550.00 for any one of the following ACCLM courses:
o CHC43215 Certificate IV in Alcohol and Other Drugs
o CHC51015 Diploma of Counselling
o CHC53315 Diploma of Mental Health
o CHC52015 Diploma of Community Services (Case Management)
b. Deferral or suspension of the Study Grant is not permitted without the prior approval of the Director of Studies.
c. The Study Grant is not transferable or redeemable for cash. No other amount is payable by ACCLM.
d. This Study Grant is not available for Skill Set courses.
e. The Study Grant of $550 will be applied to fee payments scheduled at the end of the course duration period.
5. Termination
a. The Study Grant may be terminated if the recipient:
o withdraws or fails to enrol as per section 2a
o does not maintain satisfactory academic performance
o does not complete their course of study within the stipulated maximum course duration
o is determined by the College to be guilty of serious misconduct, including, but not limited to, having provided false or misleading information as part of their Study Grant application
o does not resume study at the end of an approved deferral period or
o any other provision as indicated in these terms that would lead to termination
b. Once the Study Grant has been terminated, it will not be reinstated unless due to a provider error.
c. Where a student is found guilty of serious misconduct or the Study Grant is terminated under any instance in the Termination Clause of these terms and conditions, the provider reserves the right to request that any Study Grant funds paid to be reimbursed by the participant.
6. Privacy
a. Applicants agree to ACCLM collecting personal information as part of the Study Grant process. Applicants are encouraged to review ACCLM’s Privacy Policy available via our website.
